On June 5 of this year, Madrid Goods and Services Manager (MGS), classifier of the <\/span>World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)<\/span><\/a>, included<\/span> 668 typical Brazilian products and services in its list<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Cheese bread, brigadeiro, a\u00e7a\u00ed and Minas cheese are some of the Brazilian delicacies included in this list. The list also includes cultural heritage such as the musical genre choro and the martial art of capoeira.<\/span><\/p>\n The inclusion of these products and services prevents other countries from registering traditional aspects of Brazil as an exclusive brand or service. <\/span><\/p>\n The action was carried out by the <\/span>INPI Brands Directorate<\/span><\/a>, which makes up the teams of the <\/span>Madrid Protocol<\/span><\/a> and the <\/span>Products and Services Classification Commission (CCPS)<\/span><\/a> in partnership with WIPO.<\/span><\/p>\n Register your brand in Brazil<\/b><\/p>\n Just as Brazil has guaranteed the exclusive use right over its typical products and services, you can do the same with your brand elsewhere in the world, including Brazil.<\/p>\n
